Nice to Meet You, I'm Ilana Butrimovitz
Let me share with you my love for Israel.
I am a licensed tour guide with a passion for storytelling and connecting people to the history and cultures of this amazing country. I was born and raised in San Francisco, and I have been living in Israel for almost two decades now. With a Bachelors in Anthropology from the University of Washington and a Masters in Jewish Education from the Hartman Institute, I have a deep knowledge of Israel's ancient and modern sites.
After living in Tel Aviv for fifteen years, I traded my city bike for a mountain bike as a new resident of the beautiful northern city of Haifa (reminds me of San Francisco!).
When I am not reading about the latest archeological finds or browsing food blogs, you can find me surfing, biking, doing yoga or checking out local craft beer festivals.
I will gladly help design and guide an Israel tour for you that is tailor-made to your background and interests. I have experience with individuals and groups of all ages (ask me about my high school students!), especially enjoy leading food and graffiti tours, and love working with multi-generational families.
Whether you are interested in religious, historical, or cultural experiences - from the pastoral hills of the Golan Heights to the picturesque beaches of Tel Aviv and Eilat - I will take you on a journey that will stay with you for a lifetime.
